Loan Type - Short Term Development Finance

Project - Cathedral Gates, County Durham

A recent short term development loan to strategic partner, Homes by Carlton, helped to accelerate the delivery of high-quality affordable housing in County Durham. This project is an example of an innovative residential development scheme that is making a positive impact in a number of ways.

A mixed-tenure development with 8 of the 14 units sold to a regional housing association. The scheme provided a combination of 'market sale' homes and 'rent to buy' homes - much needed high-quality housing in an area that continues to transform.

The project also facilitated the introduction of CoreHaus an innovative part modular housing solution. This product has been developed in conjunction with Fusion21 a leading social enterprise based in the North West.
