Simon chairs the Investment Committee and will be responsible for ensuring the company delivers the investment strategy and adheres with the lending policy. He will represent Bondholders’ interests and manage any conflicts of interest should they arise. Simon has over 35 years of experience in Business and Corporate banking across the UK, having spent the last 10 years as an Area Director, leading Corporate Banking teams for both Barclays Bank and Yorkshire Bank. He has also served as an investment committee member of a regional fund management business providing tailored funding solutions to businesses across the north east of England and is Head of Finance at Union Property Services Group, a privately owned property development, management and investment business with assets in excess of £400 million.
Suzanne is a Partner at Maven and has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of the Maven Investor Partner business growing this area of the Maven business from approximately £10 million AUM in 2010 to £130 million AUM in 2019. Suzanne maintains a number of key investor relationships and has helped source new investors and capital for a wide range of property and private equity transactions led by the Maven investment team. She also sits on the board of GCV as a non-executive director and is an FCA approved person. Prior to joining Maven, Suzanne spent 23 years with Bank of Scotland, working predominantly with high net worth clients throughout the UK in the field of property lending.
Norm is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of GCV and has over 30 years’ experience in property development, infrastructure projects, project finance and alternative finance. He has held senior Director roles at public and private companies. Norm has led numerous investments and exit transactions including both IPOs and acquisitions. He has raised over £100m of project finance for property and infrastructure projects working with private equity investors and a range of development finance providers. Norm is an FCA Approved Person, holds the RICS Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from The College of Estate Management, Reading University, and an MBA from Bradford University.
Craig is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of GCV and has over 30 years’ experience in property development, asset management, project finance, alternative finance and technology solutions. Previously Craig was Regional Production Director for Bryant Homes (Now Taylor Wimpey) responsible for a £60 million annual development programme. Craig led the Production Team and delivered circa 450 homes per annum. Craig has built strong relationships with a network of landowners, agents, introducers and intermediaries to facilitate deal origination for MAVEN Bonds. Craig is an FCA Approved Person, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and holds an MBA from the University of Teesside.
Bill is a founding Partner and the Chief Operating Officer at Maven Capital Partners (“Maven”) as well as acting as a non-executive director of GCV. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London, Bill commenced his career in financial services and he was responsible for the fund administration, tax and accounting areas of Murray Johnstone and State Street Bank & Trust Company before joining Aberdeen Asset Management. Bill is an FCA Approved Person and is responsible for ensuring that Maven meets its compliance and authorisation obligations.
Paul joined Maven in early 2016 as an Investment Director to support the growth of the property business. He has a wide range of experience in corporate finance, private equity, property investment and fund management, and has been a Director of a number of public and private companies.
Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 with Ernst and Young and holds an MA (Hons) in Accountancy from the University of Aberdeen. Prior to joining Maven he spent 12 years as a partner and director with The Hamilton Portfolio group, a diverse investment and advisory company based in Glasgow, before establishing his own advisory business, Bowmont Capital Partners, in 2013.
Richard is an Investment Director in Maven’s property team. He joined Maven in 2011 from Bank of Scotland where he spent seven years in a variety of corporate banking roles including the Joint Ventures Equity team managing a portfolio of investments in joint venture companies across the UK real estate sector. Whilst at Maven Richard has been responsible for sourcing and executing new private equity and mezzanine investments as well as supporting a number of companies in the Maven portfolio. He moved into Maven’s property team in early 2016.
Richard is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Strathclyde.
